CrossDJ - Can I install 2 latest versions on one MacBook?

Hi MV

I'm currently running 1.7.1 of CDj on my 2007 McBook (Intel Core 2 Duo 2.16Mhz 2G ram) and was curious to see how the latest 2.0.1 version of CrossDj runs on it. (I don't need the timecode stuff).

Can I have both versions installed on my laptop and use either one?

Yes, not a problem.
Beware of getting back and forth between both version.

Using mapping, collection, settings from 1.7 into 2.0.1 is ok but not in reverse. Backup all your sensible files before !

In a perfect world, user should only go to the next version, not rolling back. This is not a case handled by the software, you've been warned.

I suspected it might cause problems if 2.0.1 was writing to the same files 1.7.1 needed to work with. You confirmed my suspicions.

Now, I have to make sure I find and backup every 1.7.1 file that might be effected by 2.0.1 before I install the upgrade.

I don't suppose there's a list of those file names, and their default locations for the Apple version?

Thanks ...

All sensible data paths can be seen in the prefs.

Make shure you change them for 1.7 so 2.01 can use the default path again.
