Cross DJ Analysis and Hot Cues memory

Cross-DJ V2.0.1

I prepared a set by running a full analysis on an entire collection, and set hot cue points on a number of tracks.

Later on I discovered that a number of tracks were re-analysed on the fly when loading, and the hot cues had disappeared.

What are the rules that govern this behaviour in the software?

Hey,

Please check if the peak folder and also your collection file are not set to write protected. You can find the path under options in Cross where the files will be stored. Also check if enough space is aviable to store them.
Which OS are you running for win vista and above I prefers you to run in administration mode.

Normally it should save this and a file will not be analyzed again up to the point that Cross can't find the analyze file. I don't know what exactly you see but when you load a file it also runs a waveform built up.

So please give us more information.
Regards
Christian

Prepared with an older version could have this behavior.

Hi guys

I chose the folder myself under the preferences, the directories are not write protected, and there is lots and lots of free space. I'm using XP SP3. The analysis and hot cues are actually remembered for some time, but seem to be forgotten after a while.

I'll keep an eye on this and see whether I can observe a pattern.

BTW, where is the hot cue information stored?

Have the tracks been changed outside of Cross?

The behavior you describe is typically a re-write of the database/collection information linked to the track.

As I already told you this can happen if you have prepared with an older version and after this try to run into a newer one.

It could also be, files renaming/moving.
