Cross201 ASIO4ALL change: soundcard switches

Reading a topic of Kev made me try the ASIO4ALL 2.11 beta again with the new Cross DJ version. When I tried it months ago it resulted in unstable sound (not just latency related).
I must say meanwhile I tweaked my laptop some more for audio use.
A remaining issue is that after opening the ASIO panel (from within Cross) always the soundcard changes to the top one listed.
This happens e.g. when closing the panel without any changes as well as direct after make any change, like sliding the latency selector.
(just to be clear; it also happens with ASIO4ALL 2.10).
I have no idea if this is considered a ASIO4ALL problem or something that can be fixed/worked around in Cross
The reason to use ASIO4ALL is that I do not have a single soundcard providing 4in-4out and not always carry my Mixtrack Pro around (4-out and a direct mic throughput only).

Hm,
last time i used asio4all it would be selected every start if I used it in the last session.
But if you´re soundcard is not available it´ll fall back to the built-in one which is the first in the list.
But you´re saying it always selects the first one, even if you used asio4all the last time and it would be available, is that right?
sounds likem a bug to me.

Yes; what I described is happening while Cross is opened, e.g. playing. No changes in the hardware setup after starting Cross (not added/removed soundcards).

I've tried and the latest used drivers is re-selected on the next launch.
If your doesn't, it means that you can't write Cross preferences into the system (admin rights ?).

It has nothing to do with relaunch. It is while using Cross.
It happens on any change in the control panel, or if no change on closing the control panel.
I do have full admin rights.

Usb disconnection.
The software don't see the soundcard anymore and switch to the default one.
Not a driver/software issue : a hardware issue.
You can reproduce this by unplugging your soundcard while playing.

It might be USB related, but I have some doubts on that. When I e.g. use EnergyXT (multitrack and mixer app) I can make any change in the ASIO settings (in the control panel).
Only large latency change create a minor dropout. Minor changes are not hearable at all.
As far as I know USB disconnect and reconnect would cause at least 2 seconds of dropout which is clearly not the case there.
(used the same laptop to test this: ASIO with local Realtek and USB Behringer UCA200)

May be I didn't understood correctly what you said...
Here is what I did :
- hook a usb soundcard
- launch Cross
- select asio4all
- configure asio4all to use only the usb soundcard
- play a track into Cross
- open the preferences/audio/control panel from Cross
- do nothing onto asio4all
- close asio4all panel
Got a half second freeze and still running with asio4all on the usb soundcard.
As far as I know USB disconnect and reconnect would cause at least 2 seconds of dropout which is clearly not the case there.
Even if it reconnect Cross doesn't care because it has already switched to the default soundcard (WDM).
