cannot scan

i cannot successfully scan my song files from the hard drive.
it stops at about 84% and wants to shut down.
i have uninstalled and the re-installed the software to no avail

any ideas?

Maybe one of the MP3s located at 84% are corrupt? This might make Cross crashing?!?! Try to analyse in parts: 0 to 20%, 20 to 40%,...,80 to 100% of your collection to see when it crashes

Hey Mate.
Its gonna be a muffed track somewhere in your collection.
Just as Blackbrook suggested, do it in sections / folders until you find the suspect. ;)

scan as in "import to collection", or scan as in "rescan tags"?

do you use iTunes?
