RTZ - Jump to Beginning of Track Question ...

Postby DJ-Zibot on 07 Jun 2012, 17:57

Hi ...

Sorry, really dumb question here. I open tracks in Cross DJ and the track may load with the play head already a bit into the song.

Since the iPad U-Mix Remote app doesn't show waveform, I may not even notice I'm a couple seconds into the track. If I do, I have to 'scratch' back to the 0 point to make sure I'm at the beginning.

On the laptop running CrossDJ ... I can see the wave, but I still can't just click something to return to the zero point.

I must be misunderstanding something ... there must be a button on the screen to just Return To Zero ...

What do you do just to jump to the beginning of the song (or make sure the track loads at the very beginning of the sound)?

Sorry, I'm sure it's a dumb question ... I just can't find an obvious answer ...

Thanks

Spinning the jogs to the first beat and set the cue point. After that you can get back to this position while pressing cue.

Thanks for that suggestion. Finally found a solution that works for me when no cue point has been set ... although not sure I will find a solution using the iPad remote, but at least this solves the problem working from the keyboard.

In the CrossDJ preferences, under Keyboard commands available ... one is called Needle Search. You have to program a value of zero, and assign a key command from the keyboard.

After that, hit the keyboard command and the play head jumps to the beginning of the track.

Just program a different command for each player.

Cheers!
