Hi! I've just started using U-Mix 44 and MixVibes Vinyl Ripper to rip my vinyls. I'm also use built-in RIAA emulator. The bass is good, but the quality of high frequencies isn't, they're just blurred. Needle is almost new. What's the solution for this problem? Thanks.

Have you tried to not use the built-in RIAA emulator?

With U-Mix 44, try to bring up the input volume.

If you connect the turntable directly, choose "No" at the "Do you use a phono Preamp?" option, and try it that way.

When I select "no", I get the problem described in my first post. When it's "yes", there is the opposite problem: normal highs but no bass.

Input volume in Windows mixer and in Vinyl Ripper is already adjusted to max.

Not sure if understood you right, but I said before that high frequencies are good if "Do you use a phono preamp?" option is set to "yes".

What kind of turntable do you use?

Write the brand, and type precisely.

If you choose yes, there's no preamping, as you yell the software you're using an external preamp.

If the highs are fine then it means there is something wrong with your needle or setup as a phono preamp boosts the lows and cuts the highs. Can you send a pic of your setup plus a needle and tonearm close-up?
