MIDI Mapping to trigger track load

Hey guys,

I'm currently mapping my Akai LPD8 to do some custom stuff for me while I play using 2 x Timecode vinyl & 2 x Novation Dicers.

What I'd like to do seems fairly easy, but I can't find a way to do it in the mappings so I'm asking here.
I want to map 2 of the pads on the LPD to load a particular scratch sample into either deck A or deck B (depending on pad pressed). This is so that I can drop/mix a track, then quickly load my scratch (ahhh, oh-yeah, or whatever it might be) and go to town on it over the drop :)

Anyone know if this is possible with current MIDI-mapping capabilities?

Cheers!
DJ Max Power

PS. Massive props to the Cross development team for 2.5 - It looks awesome! Can't wait to get my hands on those sample decks :)

What you ask for ain't possible right now, easiest workaround would be a playlist with that particular scratch sample.

But loading a predefined track isn't possible.

You can do this, a little bit complicated.

First: Crate a playlist name Scratch.
Then drag the playlist and drop in onto the dock.
Second: Go to the MIDI mapping section, find the "Track Rack" section.
There you can select "Browse NodeDock", and you can map an encored or a button to brows forward and backward the NodeDock.

Once you mapped that, just do the following steps while playing music if you want to load the samples:

While playing music, press the button you mapped to browse forward in the NodeDock, you'll se the scratch samples in the playlist, simply select and load and you can go back to your full music collection. :)

Thanks DzsoniB, that's helpfull for now..

Is there anyone from Mixvibes reading this that could confirm/deny whether this feature will be added to future versions?

If not I'll happily prod the dev teams, as I believe this is a feature that really should be added if Cross wants to attract the more serious turntablists amongst the Digital Vinyl world.

Now don´t get me wrong, i like the idea!
But what about it is for serious turntablists, there ain´t no fucking quickload button on vinyl either.

For a routine just do your own track in ableton.
