windows 7 with lagging and jerky sync meter

Postby Mark WT Lim on 12 Apr 2012, 19:27

Is anyone else having this issue or know how to solve it??
I have just installed crossDJ 1.7 with a fresh installation of windows7 pro 64bit.
I have noticed that the visuals like the sync meter and all the visual wave when being played are jerky. Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

thanks!!

Hey,

have you also tested it with Cross DJ 1.7.1? and please give us some more details about the hardware where your OS is running on.

regards
Christian

I had this exact same problem when I first installed Cross DJ 1.7.1 on my new laptop, which is also running Windows 7 64bit.

What I did to solve it, is to disable everything I didn't need for the session - I turned off wifi, bluetooth, indexing and all power-saving options (there was a high-performance setting for the last one).

Also, if you have the dual-graphics option, set Cross to use the high-performance graphics card.

I also stopped a lot of programs from running at boot - I had a lot of stuff there that I didn't want running in the background, such as iTunes Helper, Google update, Java update etc.

I'd be happy to help you try to sort this problem out if you like, but I'd need the specs of your computer to really help.
