U-Mix Control Pro crossfader glitchy

my controller is practically new and the the crossfader now has a mind of its own. if i move it very very slowly it does fine. However, for example, if i cut from deck B to deck A nothing happens for about a second and then it jumps back and forth a few times. All other functions on controller work fine.

Any ideas of what it could be?

Open the preferences and go to the MIDI tab. Move the crossfader and see if the green light flashes all the time.
If so then the hardware is okay and there seems to be a software issue.

If not and you get "drop outs" of the green flash then there seems to be a hardware issue.

I tried what you said (blackbrook), and there are instances where I move the crossfader and the green light does not flash on.

Therefore from what you say I assume its a hardware issue.

how do I resolve this?

Contact your vendor where you bought it and bring it in for repair or replacement.

I would have done that already... but I bought it online

Where did you buy it from and how old is it?
Have you tried cleaning it? (compressed air and maybe some caig deoxit)
