using 2 sound cards

Postby fpchin on 20 Feb 2012, 03:53

I just updated to Cross DJ from Home edition. Home edition detected both sound cards and let me choose which sound card i wanted for each output. Which allowed me to connect them to my mixer. (I prefer the crossfader and cueing from the mixer.) How can I do this for Cross DJ? Please help.

:cool: :cool: two seperate sc :?: :?: you might need to install asio 4all, but first look in preferences /audio and see if both sc are reconized,by the software....still need to use asio4all to combine them, to use ,,after installing asio4all (free program ) look in the preferences /audio panel/asio4all, and route then as you would in home.. my best suggestion would be to get a multi channel sc to use as you did in home ,, there might be some issues with sound lag between the two sc.there is a posting by kevmav about sound lag where he found a inexpensive multi channel sc he uses,with good results :cool: :cool: and please remenber to list/regerster your software licence key in your profile :mrgreen: :mrgreen: to get the Cross DJ badge and access to updates to your software :mrgreen: :mrgreen: welcome to Cross :cool: :cool:

I can't see a situation when youd' need 2 souncards. With a good multichannel card you'll get all the outupts you need.

As Daniel said, Asio4all is the best way to get all of your sound outputs working perfectly. :biggrin:

Hey,

And please register your Cross DJ serial here on the forum. This allows you to load the newest version and also us to give you support for this product. Also it is a good place to store the key secure. Put the serial to the home edition in your profil under serial and you will be able to download the newest versions.

Regards
Christian

Thanks for the info. I'm currently running the Cross DJ from a Mac. Does the ASIO4ALL work on Mac?

Hey,
If you run Cross DJ and you want more support you have to register your key like the way you registered your home edition. Currently you are only registers with home so do the registration for Cross DJ. This allows you also to download Cross DJ 1.7.1!

ASIO4ALL won't work on Macs. That said, you can use more than one sound card at once. Within the Core Audio structure of Mac's OS X is the ability to combine more than one sound card and treat them as one. I don't have a mac so I won't be able to explain how to do it, but it is possible and the information is out there. :idea:
