initial cue point

I've just started using my new Cross Pack so please forgive me if this sounds like a simple question but here goes..
When I drag a new track into a player, the file gets analysed and it sits on a beat grid which is very accurate, i'm very happy with it, what i'm unhappy with is 50% of the time, the initial cue point the starting point that the software thinks is the first kick or beat is sometimes 6-8 beats ahead of the start of beat 1 - My question is how do I change this manually, i've tried re-analysing the file but it doesn't seem to change, all I can do is set a location point at 00.00.01.
Am I missing something glaringly obvious? Thanks in advance.
Si.

Unfortunately you cant,
there used to be feature to turn off the cue-setting in the first place,
but it has been lost in the last updates.
If you like this feature back you can post a suggestion here on the forum,
the devs take opinions quite seriously and also I would give you a +1 instantly

thanks for the advice and confirmation.
This is very disappointing and affects the 'Sync' function within the first 4 bars, which, when dropping a track straight over the top of another is a problem!
It would be a great feature to be able to manually select the cue point and press 're-analyse' and have the beat grid based on your unique needs, imagine the timings you could create by changing the timings.
This is an advanced mixing tool so it would also need to be automated by default and an option you an disable in preferences.
Dev guys and code kings, please fix / implement this in the next update. this is causing me real issues!
thanks, Si.

When I drag a track to the player the computer analyses the beat grid perfectly but 50% of the time the cue point misses the first beat.

Just had a thought about this. If you are not using Timecodes or jogs can you try this. I don't know if it can be done in Cross but I know it can be done in other DJ softwares.
Click on the large waveform and see if you can manually drag it to the start of the track (or where you want it) and then just reset the cue point.
I'm at work now so I can't try this myself to test.

You can map the "NeedleSearch" control with a value of "0" to any key you want

Hi,
I'm not sure i perfectly get your needs, but you can edit the beatgrid manually. Press the small pen icon at the bottom right hand corner of the player waveform to display the beatgrid edition controls.
Check the user manual, everything explained in it!
Cheers,
