Sound problem with power on

Hello,

I've got a serious problem of sound with my Umix-44 with DVS.

It seems to be linked to the power of the computer. When the computer is pluged to the electricity there is a continous bad digital noise. When the computer is running on the battery there is no more noise...

At home the noise is acceptable but when i'm moving to play in club the sound is very bad.

Do you have any idea to solve this problem ?

Thx

It sounds like you need a "Ground Loop Isolator" Try google to find one ;)

They are a simple fix to the problem and are quite cheap to buy.

Ok i will test !
For example this one : http://www.maplin.co.uk/ground-loop-isolator-33172

Do i need two ? One for each channel ?

By the way, why is it hapenning to my setup ? Is that because of my computer ?

Cheers.

No I don't think so. I only use one. I connect it to the output from my Hercules 4-MX (or Mixer) to my home amp or the Club/Bar sound system (depending on the set up)

It's a common problem with using a Laptop in a DJ set up. I think it has something to do with the Laptop's power cable/Transformer

This should answer your question ;)

Ok;

I've checked different source and it can be fixed via :

- New power adaptator for your PC
- Travel plug adaptator without ground.
- Ground loop isolator
- DI

I will let you know for me...
