hi peeps.

i have a little problem.....when im trying to record my mix off mixvibes Cross Pack with my cd recorder i get an awfull beeping sound coming from my headphone and speakers.when i unplug the cd recorder it still has that awfull sound untill i shut everything down and start again (decks, laptop and amp). When i shut down everything the sound goes but as soon as i plug it (cd recorder) back in the noise occurs.

I have never had a problem with the recorder untill i started using mixvibes.

Has Anyone else had this problem.

thanks

right here i go

u46mk2 soundcard

left deck - input 1 on u46
right deck - input 2 on u46

mixer

line 1 - output 1 on u46
line 2 - output 2 on u46

then from my mixer i have my cd recorder going into master and my amp in record.

but i just got a constent beeping untill i unplug the recorder and shut everything down.

hopes this helps.

If it only appears when your recorder is plugged in I fear that this one makes the noise :-/ If you are asking for a workaround I can only suggest to try another recorder i.e. mp3 players with line in or MD recorders (which worked quite good for me).

Cheers,

Steve

Just a suggestion... try to disconnect the earth wire on your CD recorder's power cord. (if it has a earth wire)

"then from my mixer i have my cd recorder going into master and my amp in record." --> Have you tried swapping these two?
