Hi

I have a problem I cannot get sound working and it coming up with error while opening mixvibes asio U-Mix Control Pro your device is been used by some other processes. quit them all and retry

I have done everything with the sound card and used a task manger and it has nothing using the U-Mix Control Pro
plz help

Hey,

your U-Mix Control Pro is opend by the OS as default audio device. Go to the audio preferences of windows and set your internal device as default. Restart the computer and open Cross DJ again.

Btw. you can also unplug the U-Mix Control Pro and reboot the system. After you logged into your computer you can plug the device again to the computer and open then Cross DJ.

I tried your strategy 3 times and nothing happened and the error still comes up.

both stategies? The first was to select the internal card as default at windows.

The other option was to plug the device to the system after your computer is fully started.

So tested you both or only one? and have you installed the newest driver of the U-Mix Control Pro?

I haven't got the new update yet I will try that.
I did also try both strategies.

Hi,

The error message you got really means the soundcard is used (and blocked) by another process on your computer.

It can be:
- windows itself (double check the U-Mix Control Pro is really not set as default device for windows, for playback as well as for recording)
- a web browser
- an instant messaging client (MSN, etc.)
- a VoIP client (Skype, etc.)
- a multimedia player
- any other piece of software that may need audio

I have the same Problem and followed your proposal, but without any success.

I have already done the following:

Downgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 8 by complete new Installation!
Installation of all new Drivers
Installation of new realthek Audio Driver
System check of my new Installation on Dell XPS LX 502 with Dell System check - everything okay
Installation of new Cross DJ pro Software
Installation of U-Mix Control Pro
Check of all your recommendations below - please also see the screenshots
If there is any running program in the background now please give me your advice how I should be able to find it out. I´m now totally frustrated and tired.

Nevertheless I´m interested in any solution to fix the Problem (beside throwing my Notebook out of the window and buying a new one )
