the tune loads ok in the channel, but i can't seem to hear it play, even when it is the only track playing

could you give us more information? like your audio setup? maybe screenshots from the settings at Cross.

Hi Christian, i think i've solved this one but please can you have a look at this other post? I know what i need to do to be able to monitor one channel while the other plays but the options aren't there...

In the Audio preferences, i think my Hercules E2 controller should show in the first drop down menu to let me choose the outputs for 1 and 2 (speakers and headphones), but it doens't show up there so the only options that my 'Primary Sound Driver' lets me have is 'left/right' or 'none'

I would do a screen grab but don't know how, sorry!
