Vfx locking up new computer

Just purchased a new laptop. ASUS G74. New core I7 processor, NVIDIA Geforce GTX video with 2 GB of mem. 8 gb ram. I installed the Vfx software on my old laptop and it didn't really work to good, didn't work with video card, so I installed it on my older laptop and it didn't work at all. Now I installed it on the new one and at first it seemed like it worked great then it would freeze. Is the problem that I installed it on 2 laptops? It doesn't work on either. Any other ideas.

Thanks,

Maddog

After posting this I did go to the update page and download both upgrades. 1.1 and 1.2. I have not been able to try it yet.

Last 1.2.1 update has much better video decoding, you should try it

Actually, 1.2.2 is much better than 1.2.1. It takes care of a lot of the video issues that the other versions had. You'll find it in the Download section.

I am still having lock up issues. Last gig I did Vfx froze twice. Screen freezes but loaded song finishes. It seems to happen when I scroll through the mediabase with the Vfx controller knob. I do not use any video. Sound is always clean and crisp. I usually have a second laptop running pro7 so its not to big of an issue. This time I had to reboot the laptop and I did not have the second laptop. Each time I try to figure out what it is I do and it always is when I turn the media search knob.

Where do I find the colum Artwork in Media base? I looked and did not find it. The colum's that show in media base are;Title, Artist, Album, Genre, BPM, Duration, Comments, Rating, Label, Year and Last Played. While we are at it can you tell me how to clear the last played colum. Pro 7 cleared itself when the program was shut down, this does not.

Thanks for the quick reply.
