Hey everyone. Vfx freezes while I am working and puts out a loud buzzing through the output. it is very bad for a full Dancefloor and huge sound system.

Is the buzz from a specific error?

is it everytime freezing when you load a special file? or a format? some more details about it could be helpful.

its a couple of things. if I load a video with a strange aspeact ratio, it will freeze while analyzing. buzz.
if the VGA cable plugged to the computer is bumped. freeze. buzz.
other times its for no reason at all. right in the middle of a song. freeze. buzz.
sucks cause it hurts my audience.
at times Vfx is a workhorse and other times very delicate. it became much more stable after I started using the DJM 900 as my soundcard.
computer is optimized. ASIO optimized.
My computer is way over spec. I would like to just get pass the issue.

sorry. I use VOB mostly but I do use mp4s too. also having trouble playing full HD files. 720 no prob but 1080 and Vfx plays it like a slide show. stutter.

Hey,

VOB and also mp4 should work without any problem. With the problem of your 1080 video it could be that your system is not strong enough to play it fluent.
Above minimum specs is not a guarantee that it works with all formats and filesize perfect.

Which version have you installed? the current 1.2?

It is best to use the MP4 format for Vfx! Also have you installed the latest version of Vfx?

1.2 installed. I am running an i7 quad core with 4gigs of ram
do I need more ram to run HD?

Vfx freezes when an mp4 has an aspect ratio outside of the norm
seems odd that something like that would cause a freeze

it's the loud buzz that concerns me. I cannot have that happen in a live setting.

Could it be some kind of earthing problem. Does your VGA cable go to some kind of "Matrix" box or go straight to a LCD/Projector?

hey, additional to the spec you written i have a questionto thevideocard. which do you have and how much memory has the card. ( its for the hd problem)

Cable goes straight to the projector.

My video card is an NVIDIA 1.5 Gig
