i do really like the functionality of this Cross.
however I am not happy about how to arrange the music library.
Maybe I don't know how to do it yet but i tried to play with it and it seems not possible to reach my goal.
As a pro DJ the best to organize your music is to create a collection.
So for instance if I want to organize all my tracks of the 80s, i should just be able to create a collection, name it 80s music and import all songs that belong to that category. Once i want to play a certain 80s song i should just be able to click on collection and see all my 'under' collections.
Is this possible?

i don't understand your question, but you can create several playlists in the playlist view : clic on the "+" button

(don't know if it helps)

I understand what you are asking for. There were 8 'bins' that you could sort things to in Final Scratch 2 with the old Traktor software. This made sorting easy for events and sets, with samples, alternate genres, etc.

I think what you want to do in making your collection easy to sort is naming the genres in more detail in iTunes. then when you import the collection and have iTunes imported as well, you can sort by genre or search for the genre.

You could also create all those playlists in iTunes, then open mixvibes and click the iTunes icon. Your collection and playlists will all be loaded in seconds.

The only thing you can not do is add things to the iTunes playlist after mixvibes has been opened. That is something which should update in real time if you drag a track. I wish I had real iTunes functionality in the mixvibes Cross window...

It helps... I had no idea about that plus button! I thought I was limited to one playlist! I searched the screen, but neglected to search the manual or forums!

The Plus button is located at the bottom-right side of the screen, next to a minus button which deletes a playlist. Luckily, the minus confirms if you want to delete.

Killa!
