So Microsoft tells me the storport.sys is a raid and fibre-channel driver which should perform better than the ataport.sys,
but it´s not clear to me why it´s active.

maybe it´s more of desktop-driver but i haven´t found out more yet.

Sometimes disabling aero 'causes audio problem,it happended to me and i had to enable it.

Can you tell me what scenarios and tabs in latencymon you want to see? WIll try it tonight.

What i experineced might be related to the last beta-version.

I have seen numerous issue with Iastor.sys related to USB device.

So for now I don't have a lot of things to looking for :
-Vista/W7
- related to some AHCI/Raid/Sata/Usb drivers

Nothing into the Event Logger ?
Control Panel / Administrative Tools / Event Viewer

There is not so many differences between U-Mix Control Pro and UMCP2 for handling by the OS, so there shouldn't have NEW issues.
