1) What would you suggest i try first, i would have thought Bidirectional Touch ?? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ now the bit that gets confusing for the next step:
Event __________________ Control N2C CH2 CCO CH2 PW CH2
N2C is the touch parameter, and this look like a 14bits jogs. I would have tried CC0 in no 14bits mode with a Touch preset. 2)If possible what do you think the oder would be judging from other touch setups you have worked with: Move forward Move backward touch what order do you suggest, may be similar to the Numark mixtrak any ideas ??
Not a bidirectionnal, if you look into a monitor software (midiox/midipipe) you'll see. Only move & touch. The range will define the direction, not the notes. You need to set the ticks/turn, 600 seems a good value to start for most jogwheel. Then you fine tune with the sensitivity wich is a ratio. (600 with a sens of 0.5 mean something like 300)

Much appreciated, i more or less understand, Its been a busy 3 head scratching days for some parts , I will off course keep you informed of this MIDI fail issue if and when it rears up again. After a few tweeks and minor addition, all next week i will put its thru its paces mixing up some sets, i will then go on to writing up my mapping notes and make it availible (With spell check off course I need that ). And all else i can say now things are looking sweet, is what a combination Cross and the 4trak, I just dont know what else to say I have tested all the major DJ software players and Cross, and now only after these brief tests when setting up my 4trak, do i see this combo will deliver better than the rest without the pointless bells and wistles that hog the screen or the limitations of being stuck to a closed setup like serato. i am aslo Glad i sussed out the Modifiers they have really opened up my worlds and are the key to keeping all simple yet everything at hand if implemented with wiseness and a well thought out control layout. Rock on Tommy LMFAO they dont know what they are missing. Thanks

Okay apart from the mini fader, that at present does not want to play nice, my major problem was these jogs, i have tried and tried and just cant get these setup, for touch/Scratch/Cueing up and then standard bending via the side, i have manged a basic setting using the position option which is temporarily okay for cueing up etc, but they can be tempramental if knocked or subjected to a lot vibration to the 4trak unit, hence the beat on time have been lost.
So it looks like i will have to wait for these settings until you have setup your NS6,so i would appreciate when sorted if you could pass me on the exact settings that worked for you.
Much appreciated.

Ok got my hands on the NS6. The jog was way simpler than what I though thru your writing. There is really nothing to do : touch & move. Note is the touch, CC is the position. cross_ns6jog.JPG The mini fader was working as said 14bits that need to be mapped as 7bits : cross_ns6minifader.JPG So as expected it is sending 2 alternate values for the note 57 and 77. If you use 77 it will jump everywhere, if you use 57 it will work as it should. Please note that the controler is mapped in 14bits for some parts. Pitchs and mixer were also a breeze. One of the easiest thing I have to map : a 10 minutes work...

May be your pitch is 14bits, in this case you can apply the trick of the mini fader.

Thanks we are getting their

You're not reading me at all since the beginning, you're assuming what I'm telling.
But I'll redo-it for the 3rd or 4th time. There are 2 values that are sent alternatively, you need to catch the lower one.
So like the mini fader that where sending 57 and 77 notes, I only kept 57. Using half the messages is dividing by 2.

I see what you are trying to say now, although as far as the maths go: numbers like this totally confuse the hell out of me when in my face, not my strong point, so it still baffles me, i can see what you are trying to tell me, but still i feel like i have numerical dislexia. it is not so straight forward for me, i only did basic maths many moons ago at school and then i blagged a pass with a uk basic introductry level 2, but thats as far as i go, and much as gone from my mind with not Normally having to use the maths, percentages and stuff like that But no worries, my daughter will probally understand or my maybe my mrs, she works with purchase legar/accounts so hopefully she will understand,Not that iam one to give up on trying and at least i understand the process/Jist of what you have been trying to tell me now. the only thing i do is music of sorts and the djing thats my job lot. Thanks for baring with me, and hopefully with my grammer too

Just move slowly the fader while mapping and you will see the value change (2 numbers flickering). Click ok when it's the lowest.
