Re: Cross crashing 24/7 - including report and video - PLS H

Many soundcards are usb 1. This is fine for most purposes as a peak use is appx 1mb per channel whereas usb1 is 10mb.

If one needs additional power depends on other devices sharing the same hub (also internal). Always connect a sc the shortest way as usb hubs don't have QoS options.

You better put an external power to an external hdd as this is high power device. Also less chance of the adapter having influence to the audio.

A power problem does match to at least part of your problem. If you have the proper equipment you may want to check if your wall socket has the right voltage. More difficult would be to check the current. Are you using clean power or are other devices causing power dips. Like dimmer, dishwasher, light show, ac, heater etc

Audio dropouts? Increase audio 'buffer size' value.

Soundcard not available/working? Try the 32bit version of Cross (is also installed).

It may be - but this happening in a lot of different locations. At las gig it was just big gym with two stereo speakers and my set up.
At home I got turntable in one room where is only one desktop PC in same room. No other devices. I got also another cable for u46mk2 and on 99,9% problem is not in cables, it cant be cartridge and i guess its not even computer problem since I have exactly same problem on win and iOS.

BTW : Merry XMASS guys - thx for input and I am patiently waiting for analysis:)

Merry Christmas to you too.

What happens if you use Cross with internal soundcard only.

A defective power cable or socket which you use may be able to cause this... maybe you use the same one in all situations.

Just trying to suggest some things which are easy to try. As there is some chance that even if crashes can be avoided by Cross it might be that there is a different root cause for the occurrence.
