I had already implemented in my custom map. Just a little different. I have the regular roll loop and toggle loop plus the roll and toggle loops with auto slip.

I decided to publish my custom map. It has waaay more features than the standard map. I am working on the documentation.

Hints... Audio and video cloning,
Zoom features using the strip,
Mode to use beat flash on the pads for visual matching,
Independent pad volumes,
All titler functions,
GUI manipulation functions
Video transition randomizer.

Another question for you.....

I mapper "auto loop" as loop 4 because "loopX2" and "loop/2" do not works if loop is not active. Using MAC version of Cross there isn't this problem....

Have you a solution?

To have it work with an inactive loop press the shift key, you will be using auto loop select Up or down which works as the 2X and 1/2 X with active and inactive loops.

ok but to have this function whit SFITH does not make much sense ... I prefer to have it without SHIFT.

Going back to the roll I noticed that if you turn on it using the sound FX it works perfectly.
So I ask you if there is a way to map the 8 PAD for moving the knob "amount" at a given location."

Pseudo code:

PAD 1: roll ON+ amount knob on 0%
PAD 2 : roll ON + amount knob 15%
....
PAD 8 : roll ON + amount 100%

This would solve every problem.
For example, when active, if I slip, then I press PAD1 get him off the SLIP .... and this is an unexpected behavior.

edit :

another bug of actul implentation of roll :

If you active roll for only 1 cicly of loop, SLIP mode is not activate...

The way to map it is to use
Autoselect&toggle to turn on the effect on each pad as a holder as well as amount with a zero range and a value from 0 to 127 that is equivalent to the percentage.

For 15%
15%/X= 127/100%

(15)x(100)=(x)x(127)

1500=127x

1500/127=x= value between 1 and 127. Ad 1 and this is the value between 0-127 that is equivalent to 15% .

Edit on the final formula to add one

Use FX SelectAndToggle command. This is an integer command. The integer value for the roll effect is 14. Remember to map it as a holder button otherwise the effect will continue after you stop pressing the pad.

ok ... I've done everything you can:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/f0m6a77oxqss8 ... 7.mappings

Unfortunately, there are problems due to the implementation of the roll that is native effect in software as DJ and VDJ.
The problem is that you can not add any other effects while roll is active...
I usually use the roll together [/url]the filter, but in this case, while the roll is active you can not even use the equalizer or adjust the volume. [url]
I suppose that roll records on the fly the sample but this can not be modified.

This is a serious limitation for me and it is for this reason that mixvibes has "masked" the roll substitute it whit "loop + slip."

if you want to test the mapper file and let me know what you like ...
At the moment you can not do better ...

obviously "work in progress" :)
