Well, turns out that with Mac core audio, you can't change that setting to anything lower.

Just to add to the weirdness, tried the version of CrossDJ LE I have, that was what would have come bundled with the controller. That picked up the sound card automatically, so I didn't need to use the aggregate I'd setup. However, that too was out of sync in terms of the headphones and the master output.

Just for shits and giggles, I download a the Traktor Pro 2 demo, found and imported a mapping someone had done for my firstmix pro, and bugger me, everything works fine straight off the bat. No out of sync audio outputs.

So, must be something related to CrossDJ software itself, but I'll be damned if I can even begin to figure that one out.

A bit stumped now, as I don't really want to have to shell out for another mixing software, but looks like I don't have much choice.

Just another update really.

I spent a few evening messing round with Traktor, to make sure it did everything and functions worked as I wanted.

Interestingly, the Firstmix Pro jog wheels actually function as they are (as I gather ) supposed to on CrossDJ/CrossDJ LE, in as much as if you touch the top surface you get scratch mode, whereas if you use the sides, you get pitch bend. This has never done this on CrossDJ for me.

I tried using Cross again, and the LE version, and once the software has opened fully, and I'd loaded 2 tracks, the sound was out of sync again as soon as I hit play. I am pretty sure it never used to have the problem with the LE version.

Something somewhere along the way has gone a bit pear shaped. As it's affected both versions of Cross I have installed. It started doing this before I updated the MacOSX to El Capitan, so it can't even be attributed to that.

I decided to get the full version of Traktor Pro 2, as it was on sale at £44.

It works fine, every time - which is good, as having constant problems was putting me off using the mixer at all.

A bit of a shame, as I liked CrossDJ
