Achieve? Really? When I move the crossfader it should (however gradually as it moves one way or the other) fade out the previous track. Isn't that what a crossfader SHOULD do?

does the auto Cross fade do what it suppossed to do

how where you fading out and in previous to this attempt to use keyboard short cut to activitate the Cross fader ,,

Question

If you move the crossfader using the mouse, does the software responds correctly by fading the tracks in and out?
If yes, then there is something else wrong,
If no, then you might have a problem in your audio routing. Could you please post a picture of your audio settings? Just so we can examine it and either rule it out or determine if there is problem in that area.

Macbook Pro using OS 10.9.4 and Cross 3.2.1. - crossfaders just don't function for some reason. They move left and right but don't actually fade anything that I can find. Must be a bug.

There might be an audio routing that causes this.

If you use preview on (head phone button) for each deck and the 'mix' knobfader is opened as well as headphone volume (at right top) then the preview volume is what you hear for the deck where the 'main' is faded out.

Audio dropouts? Increase audio 'buffer size' value.

Soundcard not available/working? Try the 32bit version of Cross (is also installed).

Moving the crossfader manually has no helpful effect. Doesn't fade anything. I use this all the time with my DDJ-SX and it works fine. Why not just the keyboard in instances when I use the computer only in a club?

Of course the gain faders are all the way up on both A and B. The point is that crossfader doesn't change them.

Not sure if the same issue is spoken of.
The Cross fader has nothing to do with the deck faders.
Cross fader goes from deck A to B and vv.
deck faders control relative deck volume A resp. B only.
Yes you can achieve the same volume effect, but then e.g. preview will be influenced by deck fader and not by crossfader.

If manual controlling (mouse control) the Cross fader in the screen does not change the audio from deck A to B then there is something else. Which could be the preview.

The keyboard commands basically are the same as the controller commands. I use keyboard more often than controller. both live as when being at home.
