You can map "collection" to a hotkey, and then hit it right before you type in the search. If you wanted to search the entire library, you have to be viewing the entire library.

How? I can't make it work.

I'm willing to try this, while dev team bless us with the global search feature.

global search could split results

first show matching songs in Playlist/Smartlist you are in, then a line or space between and results from the whole library
