Ok is there any particular reason why you want to mapp the DJM 2000 to Cross?

This is what I would do. Connect the DJM with USB and set it as soundcard in Cross choose external mixing in audio settings now rooth
Output 1 = Output 1/output 2
Output 2 = Output 2/output 3
Output 3 = Output 4/output 5
Output 4 = Output 6/output 7

Then connect the CDJ's and not use them as soundcard but only in HID mode to controll the decks in Cross

this way you get sound from all 4 decks in Cross straight through the DJM and you use the CDJ's for browsing and playing songs from Cross.

Hope this helps you in some way.

There is no way for me to map all the functions in this thing. if someone knows how to do it please send me a detailed setup message. I have RCA's running from the cdj's to the dim, and a RCA for master output to speakers. I usually use LAN cables to connect with rekordbox, but Cross nor Cross DJ recognizes that. I bought a hub for USB cables and both programs recognized the software but there is no mapping, and even when i provided simple MIDI mappings such as volume control or the crossfader, it did nothing and had no output. Mixvibes created rekordbox, which has all of pioneers equipment mapped, so I do not see why it should be difficult to provide this mapping in the next update. Please provide this ASAP. I love Cross and Cross DJ, but can not use either program with my new hardware. Thanks!

As said many times rekordbox is a Pioneer app (made by MixVibes for Pioneer, following the Pioneer specifications).
Moreover, there's no relationship between working on a file management software and mapping Pioneer devices. Also, the LAN connection between CDJs and DJM is only made for Pioneer system without 3rd party software. Please do not mix all this up!

Last, but not least, why would you want to map all the DJM controls to Cross? The DJM is an excellent mixer, just use it as is! A mapping is provided to give access to the video features if you've got the video plugin. But there's no interest doing a built-in mapping for the DJM-2000 that controls audio only.
If you want it, you can do it however.
If you want help doing it, explain what you try to achieve... (And not just "It doesn't work, i wanna make it work", please).

Cheers,
SylMV

Have you set the CDJ's to advanced mode in the utility menu on the players?
In order to activate Advanced HID, go to the UTILITY settings on your CDJ by pressing and holding the MENU button (located at the upper edge of the device). Set the HID SETTING to ADVANCED

Hey,

I read this thread and I want to give also my experience and knowlege about the CDJ 2000 Nexus models and Cross Connection.

As Beta-Tester for Cross - Pioneer CDJ 2000 Nexus Connection I must say it is working very stable and easy and perfect for me.

You have only to connect every CDJ with your Computer with an USB-Cable. This is also needed for like Traktor or Serato... every Software which wants to communicate with the Pio Players Need to connect via USB.
The HID Connection is very easy Setup:
connect the Player to your Computer via USB
select at the CDJ (if Cross is running) the LINK button.
Select Cross -> select DECK A or B (if 4-deck choose C or D)
And it will running and it is stable since the first tests for me.

To your DMJ 2000 Nexus I can't give you Information because I only have the DJM 900 Nexus. I use the DJM 900 Nexus soundcard to run with Cross but I tested also the CDJ 2000 Nexus soundcards and they are working also perfect with Cross.

So if you Need help mapping your DJM2000nexus with MIDI you Need to give us more Details especial Pictures of what and what Information you have from Pioneer. YOu can see also at the documentation of the device the MIDI list table what function will be mappable with other Software like Cross.

regards
Christian

Thank all of you, I will try these as soon as I can. I really appreciate everyone's help. Rekordbox doesn't give me the options Cross does, I feel Cross integrates everything from locators to cues to naming the locators and many other features in it, which is why I want to use Cross with my setup. Again thank you for all of your help I will try this asap, and post results!

Ok so I tried to take pics of the problem I was having and uploaded them but this site doesn't recognize photos taken and imported to iphoto so I will describe the issue further on here.

The first issue I ran into trying these solutions was I did not have HID support show up under the options period, and I did update all my software on the CDJ's tothe latest software so I have no clue whats going on there.

As far as trying in external mixer mode, that didn't work, regardless of the cdj's being attached via USB and a hub or LAN cables to the DJM. Although, in external mixer mode it takes away the option to crossfade and volume faders, so that eliminates all possibility of mixing with my DJM, even with basic volume and crossfader controls.

Now when I tried different audio settings with the DJM, the software recognized and stated that I had a DJM 2000 plugged in when I went to the MIDI section in preferences, and even responded when I moved knobs and buttons, but as far as trying to map simple functions like volume control, crossfader and low mids and hi's, it would not respond to the command. The program acknowledged I was doing something but did not once respond, even when I mapped the simple functions.

The reason why I would like a mapping is because so far I have not been able to get Cross to work with my DJM. I can make it work with the cdj's, with no HID mode, (since that option does not show up on my CDJ's, if someone knows how to do that please help me out) but it does not recognize commands given from the DJM. If someone is willing to talk to me on the phone and or skype to figure this out with me, please message me and we'll work out a time and date. I adore this program, it maximizes organization along with other things i like to see mixing live. I understand it's not needed to DJ but I feel the program would benefit me DJ ing. On the other hand Im getting used to rekordbox, it's a different feel. Thank you for continuously helping me throughout my troubles! Hope to see a response soon!

i see you've bought the Pioneer 2000 Nexus setup, ... same configuration as i have.

When you want to use your Pioneer's to control Mixvibes, this is how i work:

Hardware setup:

1. Make sure you have the latest firmware updated on your Pioneers CDJ's and DJM (see Pioneer's support page on http://www.Pioneer.eu).
3. connect your cdj's with usb to your laptop
4. connect your DJM with usb to your laptop
5. connect your CDJ's with LAN to the DJM mixer (pro DJ link)

Software setup (after :

1. Start MivVibes after you made the usb and lan connections
2. On you CDJ's push the LINK button as MIDI CONTROL (Connect to PC)
3. On your CDJ, select the Mixvibes deck
4. do this for both CDJ's.

Mixvibes setup:

1. go to audio control, there you can select your DJM as a soundcard, and switch every DJM channel to USB. On the same page in Mixvibes Cross, select external mixer. Your audio will now be setup to play directly to your djm. Deck A (usb 1_2), ... Deck B (usb 3-4, ... Deck C (usb 5-6), ... Deck D (usb 7-8)

2. go to MIDI settings in Mixvibes Cross, ... there you can see every MIDI controler which is connected to Cross. ... Also, it is possible to make a new MIDI controler and use the Touch screen on your DJM to add some nice features. ... I've made a MIDI mapping on my touchscreen for harmony, load track to deck, play/Cue for every deck, etc.

So, finaly, ... i have my complete Pioneer setup connected to Mixvibes Cross and it work fine!
