"Refresh Content" causes a crash

The folder you're trying to refresh have how many tracks ?
Do you use the default columns display scheme or a custom ?

i didnt change any layout, the problem is absolutely independent of the folder and its content i try to refresh!

I have tried as hard as I can to refresh the content of any folder and didn't have the issue.
The only one case that I know of random crash can happen is while the database is still writing the covers into the collection.

Do you have lots of covers into your collection ?

As said before, this happens also if my database is entirely empty.
But I'll try to check how many of my tracks come with covers.

Ok.
This doesn't really have any sense if refreshing the list crash the application as it only refresh the current displayed node.

well i guess whatever mixvibes is trying to do, when i hit refresh, something else is interfering wich causes it to crash?

i posted screenshots of all the running services in the other thread, maybe that helps.

as i really started to get annoyed, i decided to reset my system.
it works for now, i am slowly reinstalling all the programs and constantly checking for the issue but so far it seems to be gone.

ill report back if im fully set up again.
