when i go to my audio options, there is no drop down menu for U-Mix Control. like it shows in the book. so in stand alone mode when i plug my stereo into my headphone jack i don't get sound.

why are you plugging your stero in to your headphone jack ,, computer headphone jack

Yes it says unable to control output levels.
please use the mac osx controls
in (audio MIDI setup)
select U-Mix in (properties for) and see the (audio output) section

does mac have an audio preference panel ,,open it a see if U-Mix Control Pro is there ,
if you look in the manual under audio set up it might have more info for mac audio set up ,,will post the link for the manual,,read it ,, cause a lot of things seem wrong

Ok here is where im stuck. I don't know why my U-Mix doesn't show up in my Cross DJ audio options. Thats problem number one. Number 2 is when I downloaded the U-Mix driver, it says unable to control input and output levels. I know that has something to do with audio setting on my mac MIDI controls and I don't know how to fix them. Any help would be great...

I found the Mac audio prefrence panel but U-Mix isn't in it. im trying to configure it now.

As long as your OS can't see the device, any software on earth won't see it too.
How did you plug your U-Mix Control Pro to your Mac ?
Usb port ? usb hub ? passive or active hub ?
Did you try an other usb port ?
Do you have other usb device ?

everything is working fine except the audio options, between U-Mix and Cross DJ and my mac.

there´s a switch next to the usb-plug....

Edit: reading thru this again, you´re always saying "U-Mix Control"...

What do you have? A U-Mix Control or U-Mix Control pro?
the non-pro version doesn't have a soundcard.
