1 : 1&2 (master)
2 : 5&6 (headphones)
3 : 3&4 (not used)

I tried that and I still don't get the Preview in the headphones. I get what is in the players but nothing from the Preview on the far right. I can scroll and the song plays based on the level indicators on the Preview panal, but no output. The only way I can get it to work is in external mix and then I loose all Vfx Control.

Did you adjust the cue/mix knobs above the mixer ? (the one in the middle).

Yes I tried every knob. Do you have to close the program and re start it to effect any of the changes? I tried that too but when you sit there for hours you forget which change you did when.

No, the changes shouldn't require you restart the program. At least that's been my experience thus far with other sound cards.

As for the problem.... Can we start from the beginning?

What operating system are you on?

We know you're using the Vfx Control and Cross 2.2.0.

Are you getting ANY sound out of the headphone jack?

Can you post a screen shot of your audio settings?

I think i am experiencing same problem.
I cannot get headphones to work with preview mode.

I have tried all of routing modes .... and i can hear only on 1 channel at the same time, headphones or master out.

I am using Cross 2.3.0, Vfx Control on MacBook (OSX 10.8.2)

I will try the same setup on Windows 8, just to check if there is a difference

The preview player is routed to the monitor/cue channel. The same one that you have set into the Preferences/Audio menu and it is commonly the Output 2 into Cross. Please check your audio settings.

So you should set
Output 1 = Vfx 1&2
Output 2 = Vfx 5&6
and because the Vfx drivers don't like empty things even if you don't use it :
Output 3 = Vfx 3&4

Hi,

i have attached my audio settings.
Am i doing something wrong?

If i set Output 1 to "Output 5/6" i can hear sound in my headset. (just to proof that my headphones are working)

shuttle842,on the first picture you're not using ASIO, on the second, you are...

Vfx Control vs. MixVibes ASIO Vfx Control

If you're not into ASIO mode you can't handle all the channels at once. Please install/select the ASIO drivers on the first rig.
