You don't need a modifier the command 'Vinyl Mode' will switch from scratch to bend.
Combojog = scratchjog + cdjog so when you map a Combojog it will does both.
The issue with jogs sending the same commands on both parts is already solved, but not released yet.

cool, thanks! the part where Cross recognizes MIDI activity but doesn't show it on the mapper should be solved by that. i shall wait. i'll continue wrestling with the pitchfader. just updated the denon's firmware, by the way. will send mapping for testing as soon as the beast is tamed/declawed.

You can do it 7bits by trying to catch only one range by clicking OK while moving the control.
Give a look at some of the others Denon controlers, this could help too.

my main issue with their pitchfader is the way the software side responds to the unit's fader movement, which does huge jumps in between, and in a very erratic way (the best way to describe it is how that super-hero "the flash" zigzags between two places). i tried changing sensitivity values. no go. i tried catching the MSB part (hex 7a, 0-127), but the mapping resulted in a non-responsive pitch fader on the software side. out of curiosity, i proceeded to catch both LSB and MSB (hex 7b, 0-127, which was the responsive part), as multiple mapping. no go. i tried copying the closest denon map (SC2000) section, still no go.

Did you try in both mode 14bits on/off ? I always do like that and can catch the value : - slide slowly, you'll see the flippin from MSB to LSB to MSB, ect ect - click ok - if you have caught the LSB you'll see the pitch jump on the GUI - retry - when the MSB is catch you'll have the pitch on the GUI moving ok but with less precision than in 14bits. We also added the support for reversed 14bits messages so it should also handle weird made devices.

i'll check out your procedure with and without 14 bit. whoever in denon wrote the code for the pitchfader should be asked to sit naked on a block of dry ice.

Good news my friend, got a SC2900 on the bench ! So the pitch fader work with 14bits : CC7A The jogs goes like this : sc2900_jogs.JPG don't forget to check freespin and no touch=bend ! For now I'm having some hard time with the VFD and settings the pitch 0 click.

the 2900's a beautiful woman, isn't it? my friend, great minds think alike! i just remapped the combojog under 2.30/2.31 last thursday, and finished my first gig with the 2900/Cross combination (had a reloop jockey 3 as MIDI mixer in between for effects, additional loop and cue point control) with the config u posted, even down to the 1800 ticks per turn (although i had sensitivity a little higher up at 2.0) i'm working on the VFD and jog LEDs but getting nowhere with it, thanks to denon's funky implementation. i did post a suggestion about splitting the timeelapsed/timeremaining mappings into their respective mm:ss.ff segments, not sure if triggering them this way would work. even just getting the ring LEDs working would be a huge step forward. there's talk about it as well in the denon forums, with as much success as we're having now. Cross mapping this would be a show stealer for the denon people, in my opinion
