Cross & RANE Sl2

Unplugging sometimes causes crashes, but very few.
Try selecting another sc before unplugging.

Last night I did a little 'test!!

least the problem more 'big I solved ....
I reinstalled the drivers of the SL2 and I got up to 4 ms latency ..
at least now when I unplug the usb SL2, not to be 'more' Crash!
I noticed that I have to unplug the power first of SL2, 'cause if I do this, the next time the Cross Sl2 is' automatic mode' cd / line, and then you hear the whistle of the timecode!

the problem to redial every time I open the Cross SL2, is not 'really that' great! or better .... if you always work with the SL2, next al'avvio the SC remains in memory ..... and 'when at home working on Cross library, using the internal sound card of a PC, keeps restarting always the last setting memory .... so when I go to play at the PUB, I have to reselect the SL2, because 'the last setting was that the sound card inside your PC!

now set by the panel of the SL2 a latency of 14 ms, which the panel Cross, corresponds to 4 ms

I noticed that on the SL2 pannelllo setting is 12-13 and 14ms, all three correspond to 4ms on Cross
Security for the three I set the value of more 'high


the first was set 2ms of Cross and 8ms on SL2 .

As for the thru-mode when power is before usb, that´s regular "smart"-behaviour of the Sl2.

What PC are you running? I never have problems running 1ms on the SL2 panel.

For the selecting, I dont see the big-deal, you do it once and then it´s set for the gig.
I mean if your girl drives the car before you do, you have to adjust the seat and mirrors as well

The autoselect will only work with MixVibes devices.
Cross always try to reconnect to the latest use devices.
Unpluging the soundcard while running, is a little bit... ahem... brave !

after resetting the PC, and after extensive optimization .... I solved it!

I tested it on my last DJ set (4 hours) Cross and SL2 at a latency of 2ms.
perfect, excellent, no noise or signal loss.

with DPC latency, I discovered that the peaks still were due to the power supply.

Crash on I resolved thanks to the advice that you gave me ...
select the AUDIO DRIVER Main PC, before exiting Cross!


Then the second problem (to select all the times the Sl2), not 'really that' serious ... you get used to!

***Note on the SL2 Rane, who with Cross timecode behaves divinely! in my last DJ set (4 hours abundant), no sign of abating, imperfection or catuta signal, with a latency set to 2ms!! (on U46, never fell below 5.3 ms windows 7)
at the expense of u46mk2 (sorry to say), that some slight subsidence could be heard during a track loading ...
Another note of merit for the Sl2 compared to U46, and 'output volume to mixer, and that' more 'high and much more' manageable ... with the U46 had to work too much with the gain, the threshold to get right, despite the autogain software! (calibration done on all cards and 2).

but there 'to say that as a quality' sound overall, and 'imperceptible and difficult to hazard a judgment on who works best! Sound output and 'Excellent in all and 2 cards!

All this does not assere destructive criticism ... but constructive!
that will serve to improve Cross product as x Universal DJ!

just think that I tried ... VIRTUAL DJ ,Traktor and Serato ...!
the result??? now I have a feeling with Aquisito Cross, that no other software (currently) can 'give commands .. like impact, more' intuitive and fast x any use!

when the SL2 with Cross, and 'a perfect match!
and I look forward to trying Cross version 2.0!!
