i could get sound from the U-Mix controller but no sound is going thru the headphones.

how come, the U-Mix controller is not unable to load its driver thru Cross DJ at times?

For this one, the solution was already given:

The only thing i know is this error is happening either when the driver has not been corerctly installed (but you could not load it at all) or when the device itself is not correctly recognized by the system. Check you USB cable, try some other USB ports, try uninstalling any unused USB device (webcams for instance), try cleaning up you registry using some toll like CCleaner (google it).

i figured that the mixvibes driver cannot be used by multiple applications. initially when i started up the controller, the u - mix sound control panel came on and i suspect that program is prevent Cross from accessing the driver.

i then used CC cleaner to disable the startup programs which are audio related, afterwhich its working already

maybe the mixvibes developers can look into this, i may be wrong

I don't think the panel is guilty. We tested this one in combination with Cross. However, you certainly disabled something that was messing up your audio and/or USB stuff at startup.

i just restarted my PC and the controller cannot detect the driver again, but when i used the ccleaner to remove the startup programs mainly the iTunes helper, i think it helped, the controller is able to detect the driver now

could it be due to a conflict with iTunes?

I have same Problem and I can´t solve it with your answers... If i test the asio card in sounds it works but my Cross DJ 1.7.1 can´t ever load the ASIO driver... what´s the point here???
