Hi everyone
so firstly im a newbie to the forum so i just wanted to say hello.
i own a maya44 external usb sound card (the bluey green one) that came with mixvibes DVS 7 edition. im a fairly competent computer user
and i am aware that this system is fairly old now with todays standards.
i have a Pioneer djm 600 mixer and and two technics 1210's hooked up to the sound card. the problem is that i can hear the timcode signal over the music while cuing in the headphones or even playing through speakers. this cant be normal surely. i understand that the maya44 shares the ground with the usb cable when plugged into the usb port. so i tried unplugging the power to the laptop to see if that makes a difference but it timecode signal is still present. i understand that i could buy one of those usb isolators to cure this problem, however there a little on the expensive side if it doesn't solve my issue. so does anyone know of a way that i could sort it out without having to buy one. i was even considering trying to figure out witch was the ground wire in the cable and cut it then solder in a length of cable and hook it to the mixer. thats if i can find out witch one to cut. any help on this matter would be great full.
thank you for your time. all the best and happy mixing.
