AFAIK Cross does not put the Cue at the first beat of the track but at the first beat of the determined beatgrid. By this it is simple to match in the beat cycle.
Occasionaly you may want th first beat audible so you'll have modify manual. In the past more complex parameters were available which did not provide good results. (Like x-volume in first n-seconds). (mice for a track like school of supertramp)

Quant and snap are used while playback and not for beatgrid (else a change in any of these over time would require re-analysis).
You will have to use lower snap value if you want to put the Cue halfway '2 lines'.

Also for quant a lower value might work better for this purpose.

FigDJ: the manual is from 2.x and beta 2.7 released as 3.0.0

I was able to link to the manual, somehow the link is not working with IE but it does with Chrome. I must investigate that later.

Anyway that is the same old manual since before the software allowed for 4 players, much have change since then. I know what it says in that manual, my point is that we don't know if anything has changed because there has not been proper updates to the manual. Unless, you personally have access to privileged information which AFAIK the rest of the users, moderators, and Beta testers don't have.

It is very funny i got similar issues after changing my Hardware.

On my Main PC everything was fine, no probs using the analyzing tool (AMD FXII CPU).

But i decided to buy a Vestax VCI 400 (very nice) and its Drivers works only on Intel Core2Duo or I3/I5/i7
Now i am using a Core I5 Notebook (HP)

Now if i analyze a track while i play on the other decks it will be a .....interessting.......beatgrid. It even messed up the BPM.

Only solution for me so far:
Do all the analyzing BEFORE Play.
On my Main machine there is no Problem doing it while Play

Both machines on Win 10 , 8 GB RAM
Cross DJ 3.3.10

Very sad:
I can´t re-analyze.
If it messes up, i have to delete the analyzingfiles in c:\users\%username%\appdata\\roaming\mixvibes\analyzes

Sorry for my bad english, not a native Speaker ^^

First thing to do would be upgrading to 3.3.11. Available in the downloads section.

You really think the situation only occurs when you have a track analysed in the (other) deck? Would be a funny, but great find.

You don't have to manually remove the analyses file. If you run a manual analyses it will overwrite the info.
You can select the option to only do the beatgrid.

In the end preparing is a the best way to work as analysis is executed at a transition moment, but it shouldn't have a different result.

Soundcard not available/working? Try the 32bit version of Cross (is also installed).

Uninstalling and deleting everything Cross related fixed this issue for me.

But it;s back now. Something definitely goes wrong with beatgrids when *something* changes.

EDIT: This includes using a Windows machine and then a new setup on a Mac
MacBook Pro - 15" (Mid 2014)
2.2Ghz Processor
16GB RAM

U-Mix Control Pro 2
Cross 3.3.10
