No visual cue for scratching ?

Postby AllanKikker on 09 Feb 2016, 15:33

Hello !

I've used the android version of Cross DJ before and you can view the record spinning on the deck. I've been searching both the web and the pdf manual for the same feature on the PC version without luck.

It seems to be specific to vinyl control on this version ?

How do digital DJ's do to scratch without visual cue, if there is none on the PC version ? :)

Thank you for your help !

Hover your mouse over the waveform , an arrow is displayed so that you can turn on the rotating circle . click on the circle so you can display different things .

Hello Jaymarkus !

Thank you for your help.
This is what I tried here without luck :

I can see the track illustration as a vinyl but it's not "spinning".
Am I missing something ? :)

Thanks !

It's in the big wave form next to the mixer at both sides.

When hoovering you see some more buttons you can click. One is to make wave smaller

Not really sure we're on the same page RoJec.

I've found another DJ asking for the same thing here where you replied a few months ago :
viewtopic.php?f=360&t=34670

So far, I'm trying to follow the waveform to scratch but after a few hours of training, my eyes can't follow any more. So I was hoping to be able to follow a simple marker on a spinning deck to reduce eye fatigue like serato or Cross DJ for android does it.

---

As a side note and with all due respect, if you could provide a screenshot, that would make things easier to understand through the dozens of elements and buttons on CrossDJ, and would save you a lot of time replying back and forth.

In our business, our support team uses Jing (which is free) or Screencast-o-matic (which is either free or with a pro version) to quickly share and annotate screenshots/screencasts with our customers, to get the job done faster... If this can help. :)

If You are using an Midicontroller it´s not possible to do that.

That works only with Timecode

Sorry, assumed you would be able to find it easily...
Using Snagit for over 20 years. Really great, also for editing and writing manuals...

Clicking the > (<) opens album cover image. Clicking this changes mode.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Ok, now I get it, thank you ! :)
I have a wego3 at home, that's why I did not have those functions.
It's just kind of weird that android version has this feature with the same controller. :)

I'll try to "stick" the waveform to see if it reduces eye fatigue on my next training session.

Have a great day !
