Does analyzing music take up ram space from the computer?

To some extent it does. If a track is loaded to a deck it is minor. If you analyse from the grid the track will be loaded to mem first.
The cpu capacity mostly will be the limitation.

If you have dropouts due to analysis you can slightly increase thr buffer size of the soundcard in preferences /audio.

It is recommended to analyse tracks before using them, though usually it goes right in live situations, unless you change new tracks faster than the analysis.

Audio dropouts? Increase audio 'buffer size' value.

Soundcard not available/working? Try the 32bit version of Cross (is also installed).
