Just wondering if anyone who has the Pioneer DDJ SX DJ controller that is using Cross has encountered problems with the performance pads? I downloaded the demo version to try it out before buying the full version, and when my controller is on with the software running, I have no problems setting cue points using the 8 pads, but thats it. I cant use the "Roll", "Slicer" and "Sampler" functions? (Nothing happens when I push them to turn on) Do I need to do something to get them to work because I use these a lot during my gigs ...Anywho, hopefully someone can help me out here because I really want to use Cross, but not being able to use these features I may have to stick with Serato

Hey Mixvibes! Thank you for your response! Yes, i set the controller to work with software other than Serato and still nothing? When I push the "ROLL" "SlICER" and "SAMPLER" buttons they dont turn on so I cant use the 8 performance pads provided? The "CUE" works and I can set 8 cue points on the pads. I also noticed that the Cue points/pads arent nearly as responsive as when I use the pads with Serato. Any help on these? Can I make the pads more responsive or is that how they are gong to always perform? I plan on buying the full version for sure, I just need to sort these 2 problems out before I do! Thanks in advance for answering these questions!

Thanks for the response FigDJ! Just to make sure and put my mind at ease before I spend the money, you have to full version of Cross and the "ROLL" "SLICER" and "SAMPLER" buttons light up when you push them and are fully functional just like they are with Serato DJ? Also the "HOT CUES" are really tight and responsive just as they are with Serato DJ? I just felt that there was a little lag in cue points when I would push the pads there was a slight delay.
Anyways, from one DJ to another, thanks for getting back to me, because I think Cross looks like a great piece of DJ software, I just hope its as closely integrated with the Pionner DDJ SX as Serato DJ is thats all.
I look forward to hear back from you...

Cross has quantize and snap functions that help to aim cue hits on the beat, this might be the 'lag' you mentioned. Try changing these settings for your taste. As of now there is no slicer function at all in Cross so the function buttons in Serato controllers do not work in a similar fashion.

I beg to differ, all functions including SLICER work with the DDJ-SX. In application is a little different from the way it is used in Serato but nevertheless it is there mapped in the stock map offered by Mixvibes. The stock map lacked some additional video functions and other things so I made my own DDJ-SX MIDI map and posted. It includes many additional functions not found on the standard map. I say again the SLICER function is there. it is use in conjunction with the autoloop size and trigger and it works well.
