Running CrossDJ on Windows Embedded

Postby Patlover1983 on 25 Jan 2015, 20:13

Hello everyone,

Have a question and hope anybody can answer. Together with a friend we have a mobile disco show. I'm building a mini PC with Windows Embedded Standard 7. Can anybody tell me which Windows components Cross DJ (non free edition) needs? Something like direct-X or media codecs?

Thank you!

My knowledge might be outdated but I think embedded isn't 64bit. This would mean severe limitations.

My suggestion would be to use a tower config. This will allow most upgrade options.

Cross has the codecs build in.

Any current directx will do.
It will pretty important to have sufficient support for video.

Soundcard not available/working? Try the 32bit version of Cross (is also installed).

Hello RoJeC (and others offcourse),

I can make a x86 and a x64 distribution with Windows Embedded Standard 7, so this is not the problem.

Offcourse i going to experiment with the video support for Cross.
Is Direct-X the only Windows component Cross needs? Maybe Framework?
