Audio not playing through speakers connected to SB?

Postby dgionet on 14 Jan 2015, 04:29

Hello!

Sorry that my first post has to be looking for help, but maybe someone can point me in the right direction.

New to Cross, and liking it so far, however I'm having trouble getting sound to come through the speakers and headphones that are plugged into my controller (DDJ-SB).

I have a set of speakers plugged into my SB and then the controller is connected to my computer. Reading the manual I understand that I should select the Pioneer from the audio drop down:

But when I try to select line it gives me the error:

EDIT: Forum cuts off the image error message but url link here: https://imgur.com/Z7B2FJh,AV1KEAJ#1

Am I selecting the wrong option here? None of the other selectable options seem to do the proper audio.
Speakers - plays through my tiny computer speakers and the 2 Digital Audio options just result in silence.

When I open up serato intro, it plays through the speakers/headphones connected to the controller no problem, but there are no real options/preferences in that program, so I can't see what I'm selecting differently.

I'm probably just missing a step, but any suggestions or help would be appreciated!

The Pioneer driver are 32-bit. Try using Cross DJ 32-bit.
For Cross DJ 64bit you can use the Asio4all driver. In preferences/audio select the asio4all driver and via its settings select the Pioneer.

Audio dropouts? Increase audio 'buffer size' value.

Soundcard not available/working? Try the 32bit version of Cross (is also installed).

Ahhh, that seems to have done the trick!
Downloaded asio4all and loaded that up. Headphones still seem to be silent in the 64bit version, but both they and the speakers seem to be working in the 32bit version.

Many thanks for the fast help :)
