The attached track caused Cross to freeze.
The size appears 0 kb so likely the file is quite useless....
I suspect this file to have caused quite some of the crashes/locks over time.
It is (was) part of larger smartlist which I use quite often. The track however I don't use.
The lock happens when the track is selected with preview.
What would be the rare circumstance is that when the sort order changed to title it became the top track. If no active selection this became the active. The same for occasions where the list was 'rebuild' due to adding or removing.
So not related to the actual change made...
And after a restart the sort order was default ... not being title.
