Random Track Stop and Unload

Postby DJRicoche on 06 Aug 2014, 06:36

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Last Friday I was doing a set with Cross 3.2 and all was fine - about an hour in, the track I am playing in deck B just stops - unloads - then the track I had in Deck A duplicates over to Deck B.

No software crash, no computer lock-up or Hardware failure - it just was there, then it wasn't.

I tested the track again when I got home (thinking maybe it was a track issue) and it played all the way through no problem...

Hope its not a persistent bug!

Sounds like the clone deck function took place somehow. Perhaps it is included in your MIDI mapping or mapped to computer keyboard ?

Oh, perhaps. Good call. I'll have to investigate further, but I was using my Vestax vci 400 with an unmodified mapping (I don't recall a clone deck mapping on it, but could be wrong)

Also will the clone deck function work on a playing deck? I know you can't load a new track into a playing deck without stopping the playing deck first.

Yup, the clone will take over a playing deck.
