Pioneer DDJ SB ! How to map using SHIFT COMMANDS

Postby VDj Sean T on 09 Jan 2014, 06:29

Hi,

I just received the Pioneer DDJ SB & would like to know how to do mapping using SHIFT COMMANDS, so i can use more with the knobs n pads . Is there a video tutorial on this pls.

I wonder if the LED's will work too. If so pls tell me how. My MV Vfx controller looked dead because all the LED's never came on ( Being a native controller for the software ) .

Thanks,
Sean

Just noticed that the Pioneer DDj SX mapping works beautifully as someone had mentioned on the forum. . . LED''s , Filter Fade button, etc works . Thanks for the info.

Just a few things like SCRATCH does not work for now. Im using 3.0 + Video mapping for the ( SX mapping ). Also the audio + Video EFFECTS do not work together. Only video effects work even when selected on the software.
Auto Looping does not set. It just uses a drum roll which is good but setting an auto loop to 4 or 8 bars. . . ? How do we do that ?
Ill refer to some more points later. But super so far until we sought out the above :)

Thanks,
Sean

The DDJ-SX mapping don't work with the DDJ-SB , even though some MIDI messages are the same.

So be patient, the mapping is ready for the next version of Cross.

There is a map that I posted fo the Vfx controlling 4 decks. Perhaps that will revive your Vfx.

To use shift logic commands you must 1 st define your basic map, then decide which functions you want shifted. In the case of Pioneer controllers is a hardware shift.

1 decide the shifted function
2 open the map utility in the MIDI section
3 press the + sign to start a new command
4 press the shift key
5 while still holding the shift key press the button or knob that you want shifted
6 pull out your 3rd hand (LOL) and click on the UI button
You just mapped a shifted function.

That is for basic shift, shift logic commands are a bit more complicated and you may not need them after all.
