Cross DJ 3.0 - Crashed after 3 Hrs of Videos

Postby VDj Sean T on 18 Jan 2014, 22:42

Hey,

Just wanna tell Mv that Cross crashed on me at the club after 3 hrs of playing videos. . . this has been the case in the previous versions too . . I noticed that every track i load, the running track freezes for a couple of seconds. This is not a good sign which i have repeated earlier. Pls tweak the software to run smoothly. No jerks or freezes when we load the next track or scroll the library or use Audio/Video Effects at the same time. MV is too heavy on the system boys :)

Cheers,

Dude, please stop saying those short freezes are related to the crashes.
That's really a pity that you got crashes, and I regret it, but no relationships with the freezes. Thanks.
Moreover, it seems these freezes are pretty long on your computer (they are much shorter than a second on mine). Did you ever try to set audio cache to 0% in Cross preferences? It might improve this....
Let me know.

Hey sylMV,

Sorry abt that. I just can't figure out why this happens. I changed the cache to 0% & don't really find much of a difference now. Pls dig deep down into this problem & sought it out for us. This is the only thing that upsets me when I'm playing. Because of this i get so scared to use Audio&Video effects together.

Thanks Mate,

Hi,

I noticed that the delay of freezing is shorter when the Audio Cache is full. Is there any way of increasing the Audio Cache double in the next update. I think this might sought out our freezing problem of audio waveforms .

Well… ??? Let me know pls.

Thanks,
Sean

No, that not so simple. Increasing audio cache would not improve anything.
However, it's really strange the delay of freezing gets shorter when full cache on your system... It should be and is usually the contrary...

I can't remember if you already did it, but would it be possible you make a short video giving me an idea of how long is the freeze?

Cheers,
