If you go into the info column, you can adjust the gain of the individual track, or in the browser, double click in the gain column and adjust up or down as you wish!

I have a few bass heavy tracks that distort after using MP3gain and/or analyzIng them in Mixvibes. Turning down the auto gain setting in CrossDJ is not helping. Is Mixvibes auto gain process entirely different from the one by Mp3gain? can both auto gain systems affect a track simultaneously ?

Here is one problematic track if anyone wants to try out (or simply to catch a nice edit of a classic track  )

  easy to figure out ,get a unanylised track and check it out comparing the two ,, Cross auto level can be nulified in the settings by zeroing out the gain ,,, ,the mp3 software probly alters the sound level ,, :?:

Ok did some further testing as I THOUGHT I had removed Mp3gain for this track but apparently I had not. Now with no Mp3gain extra gain in the file structure, Cross DJ added 6 dB of gain with NO DISTORTION whatsoever so the culprit is Mp3gain that does not work too well on really deep bass heavy tracks!

It was only after Mp3gain that the track sounded outright horrible! Mp3gain sort of affects an inbuilt loudness factor of an mp3 file, so if that's messed up then Cross cannot rescue it since Cross auto gain is not processing the file but making changes in its own gain/mix structure.

Now I'm reprocessing all my tracks to a significantly lower level in Mp3gain to prevent clipping. Lesson learned.

Mp3gain is not necessary for only Mixvibes use but I want to have a sort of overall even output level for my music whenever I play them in other media players.
