Pitch & Sound

Postby aivar00 on 29 May 2013, 08:11

Hi!

Noticed this problem until 2.4.0. version came out.
All running perfectly, no more crashes, nothing, but when changeing suddenly speed of track, sound quality goes down (You cant tell this with home stereo system, only in clubs). it sounds like some freq been cut off and quality of the track lowers somehow.
using mp3(320CBR) and mp4(384LC) audio.
i cant remember right now, but i never use MasterTempo, because MT allways reduces quality (not talking software only, but also on hardware players)...

is it just me and i should visit a doctor :D

It might depend of the pitch values that are used or of some wobbling from the timecode (if vinyl).
Does it also happen with MIDI or mouse ?

If you do a motor off from a vinyl do you still have this issue ?

I'm trying to understand if it's come from the ouput resolution itself or from the driver side (timecode, pitch, MIDI whatever).

Don't please.
I was just thinking in which pitch mode are you ?

You should be into 'speed' and not 'master tempo' or 'hybrid' if you want to avoid any pitch treatment.
