Modifed mapping from ver 2.3

well went to use my U M C P2 with version 2.4 , have installed modified mapping for use of 8 sample pads /locators , and unexpected behavior , the syc button on controller doesnt sync ,, gui works ,, but pressing sync on controller shifts the master to the deck not playing,will post link to mapping , curious as to changes made between the two mapping as the 2.4 version works as expected ,,minus the control of all 8 sample pads and locators

Hi Daniel

I can easily modify the mapping for 4 decks that I did with 2.4 to just work in 2 deck mode with 8 locator and 8 samplers for decks A and B. If you would want such a file just let me know and and I will get it to you by the end of today.

Thanks fig ,, the mapping was made by maxron ,, some how the changes made in Cross 2.4 has this mapping for the sync button,not functioning properly ,, will gladly appriciate the mapping redone ,,,,,i do like the way maxron has the shift for sample /locators 5-8 mapped to the jog button,,,,might be extra work to see what is different between what was happining in ver 2.3 to 2.4 to keep the core of the mapping the same ,,and get the sync command to sync the player it is pushed on ,,,any help would be gladly appriciated ,, back ground info is in that whole posting ,,

and as much karma as i can,,not pressing ,, can use ver2.3 for my needs till then

So you want the jog button be the bank switch so when you press it the locator and samples switch from 1-4 to 5-8.

Note that this will make you loose the ability to turn jog wheels for scratching on/off from the controller but it still works from the GUI.

Let me know if that is correct.

In addition I can make the the jog button blink when the 5-8 bank is activated.

I could also use one of the kill buttons along with the shift key to switch banks. Let me know your preference and I will get it to you ASAP.

everthing sounds fine except using one of the kill buttons to switch banks ,, not needed ,use the gui and mouse for loading banks,,,
not to much of a scratcher soo the jog are just for postioning ,, ,,the way that mapping was set up is perfect .,

Hi Daniel

In this post is included a version 2.4 mapping for UMCP-2.
This mapping is for 2 decks each with 8 locators and 8 samplers.

For both decks locators and samplers 1-4 work as normal
Deck A In locator mode
1-4 buttons = Locators 1-4
Shift 1-4 buttons = Clear Locator 1-4
In sampler mode
1-4 buttons = Sampler 1-4
Shift 1-4 buttons = Sampler mode 1-4

To activate what I call the extended banks press the jog button in the corresponding deck (A or B) This will activate what I call the extended bank allowing for the use of locators and samplers (5-8)

Pressing jog again will switch back to normal bank (1-4)
The jog light will blink when the extended bank is activated.

You loose the ability to switch the jog will mode from the controller but it still work from the GUI.

You still retain the ability to turn slip mode on/off by using
Shift+ Jog.

I apologize for not getting this to you sooner as I am traveling for Mother's day weekend. Since while traveling I do not have my UMCP-2 available to me I have not tested the mapping. However, please download, test.
Please let me know if it is working good or if you encounter any errors. I will be glad to resolve any issues ASAP. I will be back home on Monday when I can test it with the hardware.
