En Video plug-in Analyzing Videos

Postby DjCzar on 26 Mar 2013, 18:54

So i currently have a total of 3 Gb of total ram but the program only recognizes 60% of it. I have been having trouble analyzing videos because of the ram.
I can analyze a few videos but then a little window pups up and says that the program stopped working, then the program closes. Luckily i am getting a 4 Gb ram stick for my laptop tomorrow.
I will then have 6 gigs of ram because im taking out one 1gb stick because there is also a 2 gb stick that will stay there.
Will that make a huge difference?

Eventually i would like to replace the 2 gb stick for another 4 Gb stick like the one i am getting tomorrow 3-27-13

What makes you think it does?

Same question, what make you thin it's RAM related?

Did you already told us about this? If not, we need as much information as possible and possibily the failing file.

Keep in mind Cross is still 32bits, and a 32bits app can't handle more than 3GB RAM even if the system can...

But as the app is still 32bits you can't use more than 3 ghz... RAM
That's could be improved in 2013 with a 64 bits version. Not yet.

So the Issue now is not the ram, i just upgraded my ram by 100% went from 3gb of ram to 6 gb of ram. but now a little window appears everytime i want to use my turntables. i restart the computer For some reason it wont read them like if they are not there. I wonder what is going on.

As displayed, this means some other process is preventing the soundcard to work properly. This can be Windows itself if the soundcard is selected as default one. In this case, make another soundcard (integrated one for instance) the default one. Otherwise, it can be another program running and using the soundcard (Web browser, skype, other audio software, etc.)

Now that i got 8 bg of ram the videos look so smooth, it makes me smile.
But i still get that window to appear and for some reason the turntables are still not recognized by the audio interface, and when i try to click on the other side it de-selects the first one and goes on the next one only. I really dontt know what to turn off on the resource monitor program that the laptop came with.

P.s. I finally got the new drivers my audio interface.
