hey all,
was wondering if somebody could point me in the direction of a comprehensive tutorial that will outline how to best use my U-Mix Control Pro with the new Cross DJ 2.2 ?
I am used to using the control pro with version 1.5.4.
or can anybody recommend a map that gets the most out of the capabilities of 2.2 ?
Thanks
Bobby

there were different version of mappings for control pro ,, they have not implemented any different versions for pro 2 ,,,not shure if and when they will ,now that they are becoming more used then the oppunity will present it self ,, need a variation my self to use all 8 sample pads ,, as far as a tutorial there are some for pro version and the pro 2 is similiar in actions ,,,will post links for them and thinking of trying to get a concense going on to get a variation set up my bad ,,..missed the point ,,choices for MIDI mapping for control pro ,,,not 2 link to user mapping downloads.php?cat=75also dzsomib had created a mapping also not shure of its whereabouts or if it was completed

Thanks Daniel.
Do i need to update the firmware on my control pro ?
when I use the MIDI mapping for pro "2" - it doesn't sycronise correctly with my control pro. I assuming this is normal ?
Do you have a link to the crossdj 2.0 tutorial or userguide ?
Do you also know if it possible to setup my own MIDI mapping. I was thinking i could use keys on my laptop keyboard to launch samples and access features in crossdj 2.2 that I can't easily access from my hardware.
Thanks for all your help.

try using the control pro mapping ,,there are three to choose from ,, mapping the controller is pretty stright foward ,, first suggest you famiarlize your self with the manual ,, goes in to proceedeure for MIDI and also keyboard mapping ,, we will help you are far as possible , but you need to be on the same page and familiar with the set up

thanks for all your help guys.
I have now got to grips with the basics of the MIDI mapping.
I have looked at the 3 versions of control pad maps to use and decided on the 3 samp 3 loc version.
I still have the following questions though:
1) using this map, is there a shortcut i am missing on the control pro that will allow me to drill down and navigate the files in the file browser. I used to be able to do this in version 1.5.4 using the toggle rotator knob. pushing the button down would move drill down into a highlighted folder but this no longer works.
2) if not, i intend on creating a duplicate of this map and adding a MIDI control for this. Do you know where in the list of MIDI commands I can find this function ?
3) is there a way of creating sub folders in one collection ? I have such a large library of music that is seperated into folders that loading all files into one long collection list isn't ideal. Maybe i should just create folder links in the dock instead and completely bypass the collection ?
Thank you very much again for your help.
Best
Bobby

Please update to Cross 2 so you will be able to create folders, subfolders and playlists into Cross mediabase. The rotary knob, at least in Pro 2, navigate you in tracks. Pushing it makes the collection's window bigger (dissapearing decks, locations)

thanks. I am already using Cross DJ 2.2 but cannot see a way of keeping sub folders within the collection unless i just set up lots of different collections ?
With regards to the rotary knob. Do you know which MIDI function from the list of commands in preferences will allow me to use it to navigate the browser (collection etc . . .) without having to use the mouse ?
Thanks

with regards to the rotary knob control. I think the correct term is "pane focus switching" . . .
i want to be able to do this without using mouse or keyboard.
