I've figured it out!
What I did to resolve this problem was boot the computer into safe mode (press F8 during boot repeatedly), go to device manager, disable unknown device and sound card. Boot back into normal mode with both disabled, in normal bootup goto device manager and enable and then delete both devices. Boot back into safe mode and remove audio device and disable control pro, just disable don't remove. Make sure control pro is on before turning on computer and boot back into normal mode and enable the driver that is now showing up
Those are the steps I took and got it working, hopefully if someone else runs into this issue this may solve it for them too.
I was able to get the driver to load under safe mode but any other modes it would show up as an unidentified device, by playing around with it i was able to get it to load just the control pro driver and then the audio driver. Needless to say it took a few hours but i'm happy i have a working device now! Aghh!
