I think this could be related to some mp3s tags.

When you're accessing the explorer/iTunes folders, there is a file parsing that read the tags. You should try to spot which ones and sent some of them to see.

Seaching the track ... in progress ;)

I will let you know when we have figured out the track(s) and will sent it/them in immidiately.

What if it is not a tag problem? Do you have any other hints or recommendations? Thanks in advance!

Cheers,

Steve

If he used to use traktor as you once mentioned I´d say that simply fucked the tracks on analysis.....10€ it´s not a tag-problem but tractor-fukked-up m4a-files.

As said when browsing we're parsing the tags to populate the view, this is the only things we're doing : not even copy/write info into database.

Didn't knew about jkut theory but if it also happened into iTunes (mostly m4a files I guess), this could be a good search point.

I'll ask him. As far as I know he only has the delivered Traktor LE installed (not even sure about the installation) and I am not sure if he analysed the tracks. I will investigate!
Does Traktor write into the tracks or does it manipulate the tracks by default?

on import traktor messes with the tracks, no peak-file like Cross or sl but everything is written into the tag afaik.

example:
before import in traktor: http://www.4shared.com/audio/ecdMZTbr/1 ... ams_2.html

after import: http://www.4shared.com/audio/CKRkS7BV/1 ... reams.html

Check the file-size....
if it wasn't for Apple´s support i´d lost 3-4gb music this way.
